PLDT SME NATION

PLDT SME Nation in partnership with Go Negosyo seek to recognize the country's most valuable Pinoy entrepreneurs - those who continuously work hard by tapping skill, creativity, technology and the right attitude, in order to succeed in their respective business ventures.

The Grand MVP Bossing Awardee will get P 500,000.00 pesos in cash, PLDT SME Nation services and a trophy during the grand awards night happening this October. Other winners will get trophies and rewards in the form of PLDT SME Nation services.

WHO ARE ELIGIBLE TO JOIN:

• SME Classification: Small or Medium enterprise (SME) with asset size of 3.1 M to 100M.

• Business Age: At least one year old in operations.

• PLDT Services Availed: Minimum of Landline and DSL

• Citizenship (Owner): Filipino Citizen

• Age Qualification: Open to all

• Participation: Willing to submit copies of business permits, financial statements, and other written requirements, and willing to make him/herself available for further assessment, if necessary.

• Required Business Permits and Other Documents:

  • DTI/SEC/BIR

  • Mayor's Permit

  • Financials (Balance Sheets and P&L)

  • Important Documents per Industry (will vary per industry)

    • ECCA: Real Estate and Renting

    • BFAD Certificate: Hotels and Restaurants

MECHANICS:

• Duration: Nominations will start on July 26 & will end October 1, 2010

• Submission Channels: Nomination forms and other document requirements can be submitted online at www.pldtsme-nation.com/bossingako or at selected PLDT Business Offices Nationwide

• Categorization: Nominees must be officially categorized in either one of the 5 identified industries

• Geographical Breakdown: Should be in any regions below:

  • Greater Metro Manila

  • Luzon

  • Visayas

  • Mindanao

• Volume of Finalists: Total of 40 finalists will be screened and selected by a screening committee and will be announced by October 8, 2010.

• Finalists Reqs: The 40 finalists (5 from each industry) will then be required to submit additional requirements that the finalist committee might require and make themselves available for further assessment and validation of their business and achievements from October 8 - 25, 2010

• One/ two winner will be selected per industry and will be the final roster of finalists to compete for the Grand Bossing Award

• The selection and announcement of the PLDT-Go Negosyo MVP Bossing Award winner is on October 28

Most number of votes casted via online voting. Here, the general public will have the chance to express their opinion through a votation on which they think should get the award. The entrepreneur who gets the highest number of votes will be awarded the Bossing ng Bayan Award.
